Come with me on our 2019 Christmas Home Tour!
Christmas is NEXT WEDNESDAY! What?! Crazy! So today I’m sharing our 2019 Christmas home tour!
Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year as we look forward to celebrating the birth of our Savior. And I love how cozy our home feels all decorated for the holiday. I wish it felt this cozy all year! There’s just something about the greenery and the candles mixed with the excitement that makes me look even more forward to just being at home!
This year we gave our entryway a little makeover before we started the decorating and you can check that post out here.
2019 Christmas Home Tour
Dining Room
We’ll start in the dining room. This space has come so far since we moved in! If you’re new to my blog, you can check out some of the before and afters in the posts below:
Beautiful Farmhouse Dining Room Makeover
Transforming Your Fireplace in a Weekend
This year we added real garland to the fireplace mantle with our stockings and the “Come Let Us Adore Him” sign that I purchased two Christmases ago at Kirkland’s.
We sold our old buffet after finding this one on Facebook Marketplace. I had so much fun styling it! It was perfect for our sweet nativity set that was gifted to my husband when he was ordained.
I purchased the trees and the gold garland from Hobby Lobby to fill it in.
I created a simple tablescape using a plaid runner I’ve had for years with the scale I purchased at Kirkland’s. I found the decorative evergreen rings at Hobby Lobby and added one to either side of the scale along with red candles.
We had purchased the white plates from Wal-Mart earlier this year and I went with a simple tone-on-tone pattern so they would be neutral and fit in with any decor. I added the napkins and rings which I purchased from Hobby Lobby as well, to complete the look.
Entryway
To our entryway, we added wreaths on the barn doors and bells on the banister. I put a basket in the corner by the stairs and called it good. Next year I’ll do garland on the rails and maybe a skinny tree but we kept it simple this time.
Coffee Nook
I share our hot cocoa bar earlier this month that sets in our kitchen. You can check out that post here.
We also have a coffee nook that sits off the kitchen. It used to be an ugly wet bar and if you haven’t checked out the before and after on that project, you can see it here.
To dress up the coffee nook I added a small wreath around the barn light and a cute rug I found at Aldi last Christmas. The beads were a return from last Christmas, as well. Then I purchased a festive towel to hang on the bar.
Bedroom
Our bedroom didn’t get too much attention, but I did change out the spring/summer florals for a sleigh and some evergreen trees.
Hutch
I already shared our hutch earlier this week when I blogged about the DIY Christmas banner, but here it is again if you missed it.
I didn’t get any pictures of our tree because it’s sitting in an area that we’re currently doing some work on so it didn’t make the cut. 🙂 I look forward to sharing it with you next year. You can also see pictures of it in last year’s tour here.
That’s a wrap! I hope you enjoyed our 2019 Christmas Home Tour! I always enjoy sharing the difference from one season to the next as we continue to work on our fixer-upper! For more on our home, follow me on Instagram!
