When it’s as hot as it was this weekend there’s nothing like a cool dessert to help keep those sweat beads in check! Cue this delicious chocolate layered dessert! And it’s no-bake so you don’t have to heat the house up by turning the oven on!

Hubby’s Favorite Dessert
This is my hubby’s absolute favorite dessert. If I don’t watch him, he’ll have half the dish eaten before the rest of us have even had a piece!
I originally found this chocolate layered dessert in a Kraft magazine years ago. It was called “Striped Delight.” Since then I’ve had people tell me they have the same recipe but it’s called something different. The most common one I’ve heard is Chocolate Lasagna.
No matter the name, it is seriously one of the best desserts and such a crowd-pleaser! The Oreo crust can’t be beat and paired with the rest of the layers it’s like a party in your mouth! And it’s super easy to make!
Chocolate Layered Dessert
You start by chopping 35 Oreos in a food processor until they’re crumbs. I use the Double-Stuf Oreos but you can use the original, as well. Need a food processor? I love my KitchenAid, check it out here!
Melt your butter and combine it with the cookie crumbs. Press it into a 9×13 dish and put in the freezer while you make your next layer so the crust will harden faster.
Combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, milk, and Cool Whip until creamy. Spread the filling over the Oreo crust.
Next, beat your chocolate pudding with 3 1/4 cups of milk for 3-4 minutes or until thick. Spread this layer over the cream cheese filling.
Last, you’ll top it with the Cool Whip. Spread it evenly over the pudding and lick the spatula (because that’s the best part)!
Put the chocolate layered dessert back in the fridge for 4 hours until serving. We’ve also put it in the freezer to make it more of a frozen treat and this has been a hit, as well!

Chocolate Layered Dessert
- 35 Oreos chopped
- 6 tbsp butter melted
- 1 pkg. cream cheese softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tub Cool Whip thawed, divided
- 2 pkg. chocolate instant pudding
- 3 1/4 cups milk
Process cookies in food processor until they form crumbs. Mix with melted butter and press into 9x13 dish. Place in freezer while you make the next layer.
Combine cream cheese, sugar, 2 TBSP of milk, and 1 cup of Cool Whip until smooth. Spread over Oreo crust.
Beat pudding mixes with the remaining milk for 3-4 minutes or until thick. Layer over the cream cheese filling.
Cover with remaining Cool Whip. Chill for 4 hours in the fridge or place in freezer for a frozen treat! Enjoy!
