Happy day before Thanksgiving! I’m sure you’re running around making sure you have everything ready for tomorrow, but I wanted to pop in real quick and share this yummy bundt cake by Daisy with you!
Daisy Orange Cranberry Pound Cake
Contents
I originally saw this recipe in the latest issue of Magnolia Journal. I love orange cranberry anything so I was dying to try this! Plus it calls for Daisy Sour Cream, which is our favorite! Made from the simplest, natural ingredients, it’s better for you and tastes great!
The recipe in Magnolia Journal was a variation of the original, which I didn’t find out until later, so it didn’t include the frosting. Even without the frosting, it’s delicious! We ate it for breakfast, but you could add the frosting and make it a dessert! The orange and cranberry flavors were subtle but added just the right touch of sweet and tangy.
My kiddos love helping me in the kitchen and this time my daughter was the one to volunteer so we got to work and mixed up the batter.
I used fresh cranberries and my KitchenAid food chopper to quickly chop them up and add them to the mix!
This recipe calls for a bundt pan. I love baking bundt cakes – they always turn out so pretty! And the crust on the bottom is the best part! Plus it means I get to use my pretty cake stand!
Here’s the link to the full recipe here. This one includes the frosting so you can choose whether to use it or not! We still have half of the cake left so I may whip up some up so I can try it!
If you’re still looking for something extra to bake for Thanksgiving, whether you’re traveling or hosting, this is a great option! It’s pretty, festive, and delicious – sure to be a crowd pleaser!
Magnolia Journal
Real quick, I mentioned Magnolia Journal earlier and wanted to come back and just tell you that if you haven’t read an issue yet, you definitely want to check it out! I love sitting down with a good magazine, most of the time it’s to look at the pictures and get ideas. But with Magnolia Journal I take the time to read every story. It’s the most uplifting and positive magazine I’ve ever read and it’s so refreshing!
Well, thanks so much for taking a few minutes to stop in today! I hope you and your family have a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving! I’m taking the rest of the week off so I’ll see you back here next Monday!
