Adding Function and Warmth to the Coffee Bar
We gave our old outdated wet bar a makeover a while back and turned it into a coffee bar instead. You can see the makeover here.
But it lacked warmth and I also wondered if there were more ways to add functionality to it.
I ran across this hand towel on clearance at Joann Fabrics for $2! At first, I thought I’d just hang it from the stove in our kitchen. But then I got to thinking about how it would be handy to have a place for towels to hang from our coffee bar.
I made a trip to Target and grabbed a black towel bar for $3. I thought it would also be nice to have a small rug to stand on while making coffee. Plus it would help define the space a little more and add some coziness! I found one for $10 in the rug aisle bringing this little project in at a total of $15!
Dressed Up Coffee Bar
My hubby helped me hang the bar across the top of the coffee bar cabinet.
I hung the towel and added the rug! It’s amazing how a couple of small additions add so much character and warmth!
This was a super easy and inexpensive addition to the coffee bar and it’s really handy to have the towel for drying your hands and a warm rug to stand on!
