KitchenAid Faves
I may have a little problem with how much I love KitchenAid. I have an ever-growing collection and it’s all so great! First, the whole line is just cute! With a variety of fun colors to choose from, they go with anything! And while it can be pricey, it’s made well and lasts forever so to me it’s worth the investment. Some of their gadgets we’ve had since we got married-14 years! And they’re still going strong! You can’t say that about much anymore when it comes to, well, anything!
Everything I’m sharing with you today is something I already own and love-it’s been tried and tested!
So let’s get started!
First up is the hand mixer. It’s super quiet and gets the job done, great if you’re just whipping up something real quick and don’t want to get the big one out! I’ve had mine for over two years and love it!
Next is the chopper. My hubby bought this for me when he bought the hand mixer so I’ve had it for over two years, as well, and it’s fast and powerful. It chops those onions and herbs in no time!
We bought this grater a little less than a year ago and we love it! We buy our cheese in a block and shred it so we use this all the time. The container attaches to the bottom of the grater so that when you shred cheese or anything else, it goes into the container. Then it comes with a lid that you can press on when you’re done! So handy!
Ok now isn’t this little electric kettle the cutest thing you ever saw?! My in-laws bought it for me for Christmas last year and it’s just adorable! We use it every day for making coffee and tea, etc.
The ice cream scoop, potato peeler, and can opener were given to us in a gift basket when we got married. After 14 years we still have the ice cream scoop and peeler. We had to get rid of the can opener, but it lasted a good 10 years or more.
I got the hand blender from my parents for Christmas last year and I have to be honest, I asked for it because I thought it was so cool, but I really didn’t know how often I’d use it. Turns out, we use it ALL the time! It’s great for mixing up a quick protein shake or smoothie!
That brings us to the mother of all mixers, the amazing KitchenAid stand mixer! I love my KitchenAid stand mixer!! It’s so versatile with all of the available attachments! I’ve had this one for several years and it’s just awesome.
Over the last few years, I’ve been acquiring attachments to go with my mixer and I’m going to share those with you:
First I bought the slicer and shredder attachment. Great for slicing veggies, shredding cheese and much more! I have the older model; pictured is the new version.
Next, I invested in the grain mill. When visiting my sister-in-law one weekend she pulled out her Wonder Mill and ground wheatberries they had purchased from a local Amish farmer. Intrigued, I asked her to tell me more and she explained about the three parts of the wheatberry and the nutritional value and how we only get one part when we purchase white flour. It’s all very interesting, maybe I’ll do a post on it sometime!
But after talking to her I found out KitchenAid made this attachment for my mixer so I purchased it and I love it. It takes longer to grind the berries than the Wonder Mill, but it gets the job done!
My very newest purchase is this ceramic bowl. Like it came in the mail yesterday new! So I guess it’s not tested and tried by me yet, but boy is it heavy duty! I can’t wait to try it! I had been eyeing it for a long time but it was so expensive. A couple of weeks ago, Zulily had it for an incredible price on one of their one-day sales so I snagged it. Since then, Amazon has put it on sale, too. It’s not as good of a deal as the Zulily one was, but it’s still a great price. I mean this bowl is the real deal!
The last thing to share is the cover. I was using my mixer so much and got tired of lugging it out from the bottom cabinet so I decided to start keeping it on the countertop and purchased this cover to keep it clean. It has pockets on the side that I keep my beater in. I’ve had it for almost a year and it’s been a great buy.
Well, that’s all! Thanks for stopping by today and sharing in my obsession with KitchenAid! Hope you have a fabulous weekend and we’ll see you back on Monday with another DIY!
