We finally got around to adding the finishing touches to the guest bathroom decor so I thought I’d share some updated pictures! It only took us six months to find a towel ring, toilet paper holder and some hand towels! Not bad, right? 😉

Hint of Seasons Changing
Our weather turned a little cooler this week, which was a nice break from the heat! The morning was cool and overcast, making it feel like fall. I find that no matter how excited I am about a season, I’m always ready for the next one when it comes. I’m enjoying summer, but things seem to slow down for us in the fall, even with the start of school. And I always look forward to that!
The kids start school in three weeks and last night we went shopping for their new uniforms. It’s always amazing to see how much they grow over the break! Bless my hubby for being home with them during the summer. He can.not.wait. for the new year to start! I work a four-day work week so with my family heading back to school, I’ll have Fridays to myself again. I usually use this time to clean, grocery shop, and catch up on laundry. But I’m a homebody and there’s nothing like curling up on the couch with a cup of coffee and a good book with nowhere to be!
We have some exciting things coming up in the fall for this little blog and I can’t wait to share them with you soon!
So back to the bathroom decor! If you remember, we refinished our guest bathroom back in January. You can read about that update in this post!
We went with antique brass finishes on the knobs, faucet, mirror, and light fixture. But it took me awhile to find a towel ring and matching toilet paper holder that I liked. The sets in store all seemed too fancy. I finally ended up purchasing them on Amazon and you can check them out in my storefront under “Guest Bathroom.”
Eric said they were both super easy to install and they look great! Previously, there was a large towel bar going across the wall which I always thought weird since it’s just a half bath. I like the ring much better!
While on a trip to Dallas for my son’s baseball tournament, we made a stop in at World Market. I really wish we had one close! They always have the neatest stuff!
Lucky for me, their bathroom decor was on sale! I picked out several hand towels knowing the kids will inevitably stain one or two – ha! I also grabbed a round gray rug that was on sale for $12.99 and it fit perfect in that space between the toilet and the vanity while still allowing plenty of the pretty tile to show!
I love how the accessories finished off the space! I’ve gone back and forth about hanging some decor on the wall, but I’m going to leave it for now. Sometimes simple is best!
We really have enjoyed having this space all finished. It may be my favorite makeover we’ve done so far. I just love the way the antique brass looks against the gray backdrop.
