Banana bread, pumpkin bread, zucchini bread…I love bread! There’s nothing better than the smell of homemade bread in the oven. Today I want to share with you the most amazing banana bread you’ll ever taste!
This recipe has been in my family for years. I get TONS of compliments when I bring it to share with friends or co-workers.

You will need: (*NOTE: I doubled the recipe when I made it which is why you see double the ingredients in the picture)
¼ cup butter or butter-flavored shortening
½ cup sugar
2 ripe bananas, mashed
1 cup flour
½ tsp. baking soda
¼ tsp. salt
½ tsp. vanilla
Preheat oven to 350. In a mixing bowl, combine butter and sugar. Add egg and mix well. Combine dry ingredients in separate bowl. Combine gradually with wet ingredients. Add vanilla and bananas, mix well. Pour into loaf pan and bake 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.
Makes: 1 large loaf
