Spring Tablescape
My tablescape started with some new dishes. We’d had the same orange dishes for several years and many of them had broken or were chipped.
I found these Better Homes and Garden dishes at WalMart and they were exactly what I’d had in mind! I loved the subtle detail of the dotted trim around the edges.
As I was making my way down the dish aisle heading to check out, I spied these beautiful mint scalloped plates by the Pioneer Woman! Of course, I HAD to have them! I have a thing for mint and these were right up my alley!
With new dishes in hand, I was ready to start setting my table!
Working in Layers
I started by laying down chargers. I found these a while back at Hobby Lobby. They were half off which made them $2.50 each. A steal!
Next, I laid down the dinner plates, followed by the green scalloped salad plates.
Centerpiece
Now it was time for the centerpiece. I found these beautiful faux tulips on Amazon and you can read more about them here. They seriously look so real!
I’ve had the vintage wood toolbox for a few years and could never decide where to put it. It was the perfect piece for the table! I added tulips on either side and shaped them to drape over the edges. I added a white pillar candle to a glass vase I already had and placed it in the center of the box.
A few weeks ago I found these vintage cordials and decided to use them as candle holders. I placed one on either side of the centerpiece and added tapers. I love the way the gold mixes with the subtle pink of the flowers and the mint plates!
Here are a few more shots!
Last time I shared full shots of our dining room we hadn’t finished the coffee bar or painted the trim around the top of the walls. It’s coming along! And we are enjoying the process!
Now I’m going to send you off to check out what my talented friends came up with for their spring tablescapes! Enjoy!
