Thanksgiving Pie Round-Up
1. No Bake Peanut Butter Pie
You may have heard me say this before, but I truly believe chocolate and peanut butter were made for each other! There’s just something about those two flavors coming together that’s magical! This pie combines an Oreo crust with a creamy peanut butter filling mixed with chopped peanut butter cups and topped with whipped cream. YUM!
We have a Trader Joe’s close by and they have THE best peanut butter cups. They come in dark and milk chocolate. I am a huge fan of dark chocolate, but my hubby prefers milk chocolate so I used some of both in this recipe! But you can also use Reese’s or your favorite brand of peanut butter cups!
I love my KitchenAid food chopper specifically for recipes like this! It reduces those Oreos to crumbs in no time and then I can change the setting to “chop” and it chops up the peanut butter cups! Love it!
If you love peanut butter and chocolate, you are going to LOVE this pie! And with all of the choices in this post, you’re sure to find several to love!
No Bake Peanut Butter Pie
- 20 Double-Stuffed Oreos processed in food processor until crumbs
- 4 tbsp butter melted
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 pkg cream cheese softened
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 14 peanut butter cups chopped
- 2 cups whipping cream divided
Mix melted butter and crushed Oreos together until thoroughly combined. Press into pie plate. Place pie plate in freezer while mixing remaining ingredients.
Beat whipping cream until peaks form. Separate half of cream to serve on top of pie later. Refrigerate.
In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese, peanut butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar until smooth. Add in reserved whipping cream, then stir in chopped peanut butter cups.
Remove pie plate from freezer and spread peanut butter filling over the crust. Place back in freezer for 3-4 hours.
Slice and serve with whipped cream and additional chopped peanut butter cups (optional).
