Vintage finds from my recent antique shopping excursion!
This last weekend was my birthday weekend and my hubby took me antique shopping! Most people thought it was weird when I told them that’s what I wanted to do, but I love it.
I had recently heard about the antique shops in Claremore, OK, and I had been wanting to check them out. My sweet in-laws kept the kids for us so we could head out of town for a little getaway!
Antique Vintage Shops and Boutiques
The shopping did not disappoint! The downtown area in Claremore is filled with antique shops and boutiques lining both sides of the street with little diners and a coffee shop mixed in. And it was bustling with people!

She’s getting ready to switch it over to Christmas decor so it wasn’t fully stocked, but she still had some really pretty decor! Here are a few pictures of her booth.
There were several fun booths in that shop and we spent quite a bit of time there. Here’s a couple of pictures of the other displays.
I was on the lookout for some specific items and found a few of them. I’ve started collecting vintage blue Ball jars and was able to snag another one to add to it! I also like to look for milk glass and jadeite, but I didn’t find any this time around!
I also wanted to find some skinny brass candle holders and a vintage potato masher. Credit to my hubby, Eric, who found both for me! We also found a little candle snuffer (that’s a thing, right?) that was too cute to pass up!
We hit a few more shops and then ate at Dot’s Cafe whose claim to fame is that it’s the oldest cafe in Claremore. It was like stepping back into time! I ordered a sweet tea and they brought it out in a large Tupperware cup. Eric ordered a good ol’ greasy burger and onion rings that he said were amazing and I got the BLT, which was also delicious!
This next little boutique was the cutest and gave me several ideas for future projects! Her displays were so pretty!
Back in the Day Antiques and Treasures is where we found the potato masher and again, they had some great booths! This one was my favorite!

Here are a few more items I would’ve snagged if I had a place or the budget for them! I think old typewriters are the coolest and the color on that antique sewing machine! LOVE!
At one of the last shops, I found an old piece of tin ceiling that I snagged for a DIY I’ll be sharing with you soon!
UPDATE: DIY Tin Ceiling Coat Rack
We had a great time antique shopping and if you’re ever in the area or driving through, you should definitely take the time to stop! We will be visiting again!
Someone asked me how I get my hubby to go antique shopping with me, but he enjoys it, too! He likes to look for vintage sports memorabilia and antique tools and car treasures! And we always have a great time together no matter what we’re doing so there’s that, too!
