Adding Vintage Flair to a Farmhouse Laundry Room
We gave our laundry room a major overhaul a while back. We removed cabinets, stacked the units, built a folding table, and more. You can see the before and after here!
I was wanting to add some more vintage flair to the decor when I remembered this vintage washboard! I actually found this washboard for a steal at an antique store in Kansas City years ago.
The vintage washboard was manufactured by Maid-Rite in Columbus, OH in the 1940s. I think it’s so cool to have pieces like this showcased and to teach our kids the history of these finds!
This piece had been sitting in storage because I didn’t know where I wanted to put it. But with our newly remodeled laundry room, I now had the perfect place on the wall to hang it. I finally unearthed it last week and put it up over our folding table.
What do you think?
I love the character the piece added to our laundry room! It’s crazy how one piece of decor can change the whole look of a space!
Thanks so much for hanging out today! For more on our home, follow me on Instagram!
